Tablus Unveils Next Generation of Content Protection for the Network
Content Alarm NW 4 Provides Industry's First 'One Click' Policy Management Capability; Adds Policy Driven Encryption to Award-Winning Functionality
SAN MATEO, Calif., June 6 -- Tablus Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive content protection solutions, today announced the next generation of its award-winning Content Alarm NW(TM) product. Designed to safeguard data against theft by insiders and broken business processes, Content Alarm NW 4 introduces the industry's first "One Click" policy management capability for regulatory violations, instantly enabling compliance with a broad range of government regulations and corporate security policies. With Content Alarm NW 4, Tablus continues to deliver executive visibility into content protection and regulatory requirements for Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. In addition, new policy-driven encryption functionality allows organizations to comply with regulations that mandate the encryption of sensitive information.
"An organization's security posture is not complete if it is built only around the need to protect against outside threats such as hackers, phishing and viruses," said Lance Shinabarger, manager of information security at Domino's Pizza. "Protecting customer and employee privacy while preventing against the potential theft of trade secrets is top of mind for retail organizations such as Domino's Pizza. We operate in a time-sensitive industry. While many security products claim to deliver protection out-of-the-box, Tablus Content Alarm NW 4 delivers on this promise. Immediately upon installation, team leaders could comprehensively monitor and protect the information for which they are responsible from loss or potential misuse by individuals within the enterprise."
"One Click" Policy Management
The onslaught of state and federal regulations has created new compliance challenges for U.S. organizations. Often, laws vary from state-to-state and enterprises are either left searching for what constitutes a potential violation, or are forced to initiate error-prone manual policies. Driven by strong customer demand, Content Alarm NW 4 introduces "One Click" policy management to provide organizations with a simple mechanism for the detection and identification of violations. Corporate compliance officers simply click a button to select a specific regulation and Content Alarm NW 4 immediately begins to identify violations and risks associated with that policy.
"More than half of U.S. states have passed laws regarding data breaches and corporate responsibility," said Jim Pante, Tablus' CEO. "The high costs associated with legal fees and mandatory consumer notification has made the protection of data assets a headline issue. However, most solutions for the protection of sensitive information still require a significant investment in manual policy enforcement and management. The 'One Click' functionality found in Content Alarm NW 4 breaks this mold. Tablus is eliminating potential manual oversights and reducing organizational overhead by allowing organizations to simply 'click' for the instant monitoring and enforcement of corporate policies."
Policy-Driven Encryption
Content Alarm NW 4 also allows organizations to enforce the encryption of sensitive information. Policy-driven encryption capabilities continue Tablus' commitment to content protection with classification-based encryption. Content Alarm NW 4.0 integrates with existing enterprise gateway encryption solutions such as Voltage Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) for intelligent routing of e-mail content. This assists organizations in meeting government regulations around PCI as well as aiding in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), which require financial services organizations, healthcare providers, federal government agencies and other affected entities to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of personal information.
"Tablus provides the ideal solution for companies that have confidential information widely dispersed across their organization," said Wasim Ahmad, vice president of marketing, Voltage Security. "The integration available in Content Alarm NW 4 makes it easy to discover and encrypt sensitive information to reduce the risk of data security breaches or compliance violations. In addition, Tablus' integration with the Voltage Enterprise Privacy Management platform assures customers that their sensitive e-mail content remains encrypted and is only usable by those who are authorized to have it."

Tablus Content Alarm NW 4 continuously monitors and protects the outbound transmission of sensitive information such as files, database data and information stored in content management systems. -- Enterprise Incident Management: Access controlled views of policy violation activities ensure that policy violations are shared only on a "need-to-know" basis. A built-in workflow for tracking policy violations allows managers to open an incident, set the status and priority, start and stop progress, add comments, set exceptions and assign tasks.
-- Consolidated Reporting: Customizable, line-of-business specific reports, statistics and executive summaries on potential violations that can be scheduled for delivery via e-mail, Instant Messenger or RSS feeds.
