July 31, 2002 - Portable, tabletop recirculating containment hoods feature variable fan speed control, which permits continuous adjustment of face velocity or airflow. Standard hoods are 18 in. high x 18 in. deep and are offered in 24, 30, and 50 in. widths. Multistage Dacron and aluminum prefilters are available for gross particulate and HEPA filters are offered for powders, bacteria, and smoke. HEPA filters are 99.99% effective on particulate down to 0.3 microns.
