New iKey® Trackball is Rugged and Ergonomic

AUSTIN, Texas -- iKey®, the world's premier innovator of rugged computer peripherals, is proud to present the new 50mm trackball utilizing the latest and most advanced laser tracking technology. The DP-TB-50(TM) is iKey's most innovative and user-friendly trackball design to date, yet it maintains the rugged reliability that customers demand.

The DP-TB-50 is an extremely high specification contact-less device, ideal for the most demanding cursor control applications. The laser tracking engine provides accurate cursor motion at all speeds, and the high reliability of solid state sensing (no moving parts except the ball) means continuous operation even in challenging conditions.

The DP-TB-50 has a rugged ABS polycarbonate enclosure, phenolic resin ball, high performance shielded cable, and is fully sealed to NEMA 4X specifications. The durable construction and design make it an ideal trackball for use in industrial, military, and medical applications. The unique ergonomic design and the large 50mm trackball combine to offer a better user experience.

"We researched and tested several different designs in order to come up with one that was the most comfortable and easy to use," Dave Huddleston, iKey Operations Manager, said. "We managed to come up with a design that was comfortable without compromising any of the world-class ruggedness iKey is known for."

The design also includes a removable top ring that allows for easy cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and maintenance to ensure continued optimum performance and operation in harsh environments.
