ILC Dover Launches Revolutionary ArmorFlex ® Pharmaceutical Product Contact Film

New film delivers permanent static dissipative performance while complying with both European and US applicable standards

FREDERICA, Del., Nov. 1 / -- ILC Dover, the company that manufactures flexible containment systems for the pharmaceutical industry as well as spacesuits for NASA, announced today that they have developed a revolutionary new film for use in their DoverPac (R) Containment Solution products. ArmorFlex (R) 110 (AF 110) delivers permanent static dissipative properties while meeting FDA 21 CFR and 2002/72/EC requirements for food contact. The product also passes test protocols per European Pharmacopoeia (EP) film per section 3.1.5 and passes USP <661> and USP <88> tests.

AF 110 represents years of development on the part of the company in an effort to eliminate the shortcomings associated with traditional static dissipative films. The robust film is available for use in DoverPacs, Continuous Liners, and drum liners designed and manufactured by ILC Dover. The company's AF 104 film will continue to be offered.

"As the pioneer of flexible containment solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, we are continually listening to customers in an effort to address emerging needs," said Alan George, ILC Dover's Product Manager for Pharmaceutical Products. "The development of ArmorFlex 110 reflects a convergence of customer needs and changing regulations, and we are pleased to be able to offer this advancement to our customers. This is just another example of how we have been serving our industry over the past 12 years."
