Appleton Connectors Seal Out Harmful Elements, Offer Pull-Out Protection Four-Times UL Requirement

SKOKIE, IL, October 31, 2002 -- Appleton ST Liquidtight metallic connectors and hubs are designed to safely, easily and effectively connect flexible metal conduit, while securely sealing out oil, water, dirt, dust and fumes.

Because the connectors feature Appleton's unique ferrule -- which provides maximum surface contact with longer, more pronounced threads -- they offer pull-out protection that is four-times greater than UL requirements.

Appleton ST Liquidtight connectors and hubs are ideal solutions in petrochemical facilities, waste treatment centers, and chemical plants. Users in food processors, beverage plants, dairies, machine shops, and other wet or damp locations will also appreciate the connectors.

Connectors are available in straight, 45 and 90 degree designs in sizes from 3ZÝ8" to 6". All models feature rugged malleable iron or steel construction.

Integral copper grounding lugs and neoprene gaskets are furnished with some models.

For more information, contact Appleton. Phone, 1-847-679-7800.

Founded in 1903, Appleton manufactures a complete line of electrical products for hazardous and non-hazardous locations. It is part of the EGS Electrical Group, a joint venture between Emerson Electric Company and General Signal.
