With ViscProfi(TM) Connectivity Modules, real-time viscosity and temperature measurements can be acquired by Profibus control systems. One version of the module supports up to 4 ViSmart(TM) viscosity sensors, while another supports 8. Units work with any Profibus DP control system as well as ViscNet(TM) control hub to provide continuous audit trail for process monitoring. Measuring 1.3 x 1.1 x 0.4 in., ViSmart(TM) viscometer is completely sealed and suited for embedded and in-line applications.

Profibus Connectivity for Solid-State Viscosity Sensors
Westbrook, Maine...In-line, real-time viscosity and temperature measurements can now be acquired by Profibus control systems using BiODE's new connectivity module. ViscProfi(TM) connectivity modules are available in two versions. One supports up to four BiODE ViSmart(TM) viscosity sensors, the other eight.
The ViscProfi helps users make use of the Decentralized Peripheral, or DP, protocol's design for fast data exchange.
The BiODE ViSmart(TM) solid-state viscometer is designed for challenging operating environments. It is ideal for embedded and in-line applications as it is completely sealed and measures just 1.3 x 1.1 x 0.4 inches and weighs just 4 oz. The BiODE viscometer has no moving parts, so it does not have to be calibrated in the field and is unaffected by vibration or flow conditions.
The ViscProfi works with any Profibus DP control system as well as BiODE's ViscNet(TM) control hub to provide a continuous audit trail for process monitoring. In addition, BiODE's eCup(TM) 1 hand-held reader allows production and quality control personnel to perform spot checks wherever needed.
