Conformal Coating cures within seconds upon exposure to UV.

Press Release Summary:

Applied via selective spray equipment, UV Cure Conformal Coating provides protection for electronic circuitry at high speeds of application. Single component, low-viscosity formula allows application of relatively thin films without need for dilution and provides moisture and chemical resistance. In addition, coating is VOC-free, non-flammable, and fluoresces under UV light to facilitate inspection.

Original Press Release:

Electrolube Launch UV Cure Conformal Coating

As a company committed to innovating high performance electro-chemicals, Electrolube will launch a new UV Cure Conformal Coating (UVCL) at ATX Midwest in Chicago on booth 1337. The new UVCL coating provides the highest level of protection for electronic circuitry at exceptionally high speeds of application and cures within seconds upon exposure to UV light.  The low viscosity, single component conformal coating is the ultimate choice for high throughput production processes, significantly reducing the time taken to complete the conformal coating step.

Applied via selective spray equipment, UVCL has been widely tested with excellent results. It demonstrates ease and speed of application in an automated process, achieving high-speed surface cure when exposed to the correct source of UV light, all without the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). UVCL is the next generation of VOC-free coating with excellent storage stability and a long shelf life. The low viscosity coating allows the application of relatively thin films without the need for dilution and provides the highest level of flexibility, moisture and chemical resistance at minimal cost.  The non-flammable new coating fluoresces under UV light for ease of inspection and offers excellent electrical properties with a wide operating temperature range.

Electrolube will also exhibit the new IMC Industrial Machine Cleaner, designed for cleaning automated dispensing equipment and recommended for use in cleaning selective spray equipment prior to and following the use of Electrolube’s UV Cure Conformal Coating. IMC is also ideal for a range of other applications including cleaning epoxy and polyurethane resin mix and dispense machines. With a high flash point, low vapour pressure and low hazard rating, IMC combines safety and performance across a broad range of applications and helps to prevent machine blockages.

Ron Jakeman, Group Managing Director of H K Wentworth, comments, “We are very excited about the potential for UVCL. The coating has been tested with excellent results to provide the highest level of circuitry protection, at the fastest speeds in terms of application and cure. We are looking forward to engaging with visitors at ATX Midwest to discuss new products at the show and offer specialist chemical solutions to visitors.”

The new UVCL and IMC products at the show will feature alongside established solutions from Electrolube’s core product groups: Cleaning, Thermal Management, Conformal Coatings, Resins, Contact Lubricants and Maintenance & Service Aids.  As a solutions provider, Electrolube’s management team and expert chemists will be on booth 1337 to discuss visitor requirements in more detail.  For further information, please visit www.electrolube.com.
