The OptiGrid represents the first ever non-pointscanning confocal imaging system. OptiGrid’s new OEM Confocal Kit has been developed to provide machine vision, metrology, and inspection system OEMs with a turnkey solution for incorporating high-resolution confocal imaging into their designs.
Ideal for surface imaging, OptiGrid captures optical slices, which can be compiled and used for 3D reconstruction and non-contact Z-axis measurement. The OptiGrid OEM Confocal Kit is designed to integrate into existing coaxial illumination systems. Working in conjunction with a microprocessor, OptiGrid eliminates extraneous information resulting in crisp, enhanced-contrast composite images. This patented non-pointscanning system requires no hot or costly lasers, no spinning disks, no light restrictive pin holes, and no approximating deconvolution software.
