Bridgeport Introduces Three-Piece, Self-Aligning, Raintight Conduit Couplings

STRATFORD, Conn., July 29, 2008 - Bridgeport Fittings has introduced a patented three-piece, self-aligning conduit coupling designed to easily join two lengths of threaded rigid or IMC conduit. The new couplings, listed Raintight, come in trade sizes ranging from ½-inch to 4-inches. The units are of malleable iron construction and zinc electroplated.

Bridgeport's three-piece couplings feature mating components, to which threaded conduits are easily and securely joined in a telescoping, self-aligning fashion, creating a raintight and wet location environment. An oversized "O" ring prevents water entry and the self-aligning feature allows smooth wire pulling from conduit to conduit eliminating the mismatch that often occurs in traditional three-piece couplings. Couplings are c/us UL listed.

Bridgeport Fittings is a leading supplier of quality fittings to the industrial, commercial and residential channels of the electrical industry.
