Appleton Form-IN-Place(TM) Covers Upgrade Standard Conduit Bodies for Maximum Sealing Protection



ROSEMONT, IL, -- EGS Electrical Group today launched Form-IN-Place(TM) conduit body covers featuring an integral gasket that does away with the time-consuming hassles of aligning, assembling and installing traditional removable gaskets.

EGS brands Appleton® and O-Z/Gedney® will offer versions of the new covers. Appleton Form-IN-Place(TM) covers are designed for use with FM7, FM8 and FM9 conduit bodies, and are interchangeable with similar Crouse Hinds® conduit bodies. O-Z/Gedney Form-IN-Place(TM) covers are designed for use with Form 7 conduit bodies.The broad range of covers fit hub sizes from ½ inch though 4-inches.

Thanks to the cover's integral gasket, contractors gain the advantage of having just one item to manage during installation, while distributors need only stock a single item to service customers requiring both cover and gasket, eliminating the need for two inventory items and added costs.

Appleton Form-IN-Place(TM) covers with integral gasket for FM7 are available in stamped steel, stamped aluminum, cast aluminum and Grayloy cast iron. Covers for FM8 are available in stamped steel and Grayloy cast iron, and those designed for FM9 are available in stamped aluminum. O-Z/Gedney Form-IN-Place(TM) covers with integral gasket for Form 7 are available in stamped steel. All Form-IN-Place covers are rated NEMA 3R, UL Listed and CSA approved for use in wet locations.
