July 20, 2011 - Offering 10 point curve for compensation throughout -20 to +120°C range, GCT20K and GCT20K-MB are fully programmable and have probe head constructed of Kynar PVDF. Curve is fully programmable at any time in field; GCT20K-MB also accommodates curve changes at any time over RS485 MODBUS RTU network. Platinum RTD promotes accurate temperature measurement and isolation, and proprietary circuits and algorithms make sure liquid is not polarized or changed.

Accurate Conductivity Compensation with a Curve

San Diego, CA - G Instruments, an R&D and manufacturing company of instrumentation and controls, released a new line of conductivity transmitters with a 10 point curve for compensation in a large temperature range.

Most conductivity probes use a single temperature coefficient to compensate the conductivity reading. This works only very close to the reference temperature. Away from the reference temperature it results in large measurement errors due to the non-linearity of the conductivity temperature dependence.

G Instruments conductivity transmitters GCT20K and GCT20K-MB use a 10 point curve to cover a temperature range from -20 to +120 deg C. The curve is fully programmable at any time on the field. It can also be changed at any time over RS485 MODBUS RTU network for GCT20K-MB.

Both GCT20K and GCT20K-MB are fully programmable, the probe head is from Kynar PVDF, both have platinum RTD for accurate temperature measurement and high isolation. The transmitter is in the probe head. Proprietary circuits and algorithms make sure the liquid is not polarized, not changed and provide high accuracy in a large conductivity and temperature range and great flexibility.

G Instruments, located in San Diego, California, is a small R&D and manufacturing company for magmeters, flow meters, flow computers / totalizers, SCADA, temperature transmitters, conductivity transmitters and many others. The number of products will continue to grow fast ....
