New Pivotrol® PTF4 Condensate Pump Brings Reliability to High-Capacity Condensate Pumping
BLYTHEWOOD, SC-Spirax Sarco, Inc., has introduced the Pivotrol® PTF4 High-Capacity Pressure Powered Condensate Pump, capable of pumping up to 40,000 lb/hr in rapid-cycling process environments and under elevated pressure and temperature conditions. The Pivotrol PTF4 pump is designed as a solution to excessive maintenance and energy consumption common with high-capacity condensate pumps used in large commercial and industrial facilities.
The PTF4, incorporating dual Pivotrol pumping mechanisms with PowerPivot® technology, is backed by a three million cycles or three year warranty, with a lifetime spring warranty. A five million cycles or five year extended warranty is available as an option. Integral electronic cycle counters monitor the pump's performance and confirm warranty coverage.
A patented pressure balancing body ensures both mechanisms share the pumping load equally. Patented vent assist valves release pressure in the pump body during the exhaust stroke, for faster filling and overall cycling, plus higher capacity. The PTF4 is only 2/3 the size of the unit it replaces, with nearly equal capacity through its
4-in. inlet and outlet check valves. Servicing is easier and reliability is markedly improved. As a result of innovative technology backed by four patents, the PTF4 offers higher performance than conventional technology, yet in a smaller package.
