10 AMP Motor with Soft Start Technology
The PC5001C has a Makita-built 10 AMP motor with soft start technology for smooth start-ups.
The electronic speed control is engineered to maintain constant speed under load, and the electronic current limiter protects the motor from overloading. The dust bag is easily installed and removed, with a dust collecting vacuum port for cleaner operation. The PC5001C also includes removable dust shroud cap that allows the tool to plane in corners and against walls.
The PC5001C features a front roller that adjusts to the planning dept, and an auxiliary base engineered for consistent planning depth and added stability.
Ease-of-Use Features
The PC5001C weighs 11.2 lbs. and is only 18-13/16" long with an ergonomic soft grip with large two-finger trigger switch with lock-on function for greater comfort, as well as a top handle for improved handling.
