Alienware's AMD-Based Aurora 7500 and Aurora ALX Systems Now Offered with SLI-Ready Technology

MIAMI, Dec. 21 -- Alienware(R), the leading manufacturer of high-performance desktop, notebook, media center, and professional systems, announced today the availability of NVIDIA(R) SLI(TM) technology in Alienware Aurora(TM) 7500 and Aurora(TM) ALX systems. Alienware was already the first system manufacturer to offer NVIDIA SLI technology in Alienware's Intel(R)- based Area-51(R) ALX systems, and is now making SLI technology available in the AMD(R)-based Aurora 7500 and Aurora ALX systems.

Alienware Aurora 7500 and Aurora ALX systems will ship SLI-ready, with SLI configurations available at the customer's discretion. Alienware's SLI-ready systems may be upgraded to an SLI configuration at any time, providing customers with an unprecedented upgrade path to ensure maximum performance and an extended system life.

Aurora 7500 and Aurora ALX systems utilize the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI media and communication processor (MCP), a premium core logic platform designed specifically to support AMD Athlon(TM) 64 FX processors. In addition to advanced storage features and native Gigabit Ethernet networking technology, the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI MCP supports PCI Express graphics as well as NVIDIA's SLI technology, which is the only graphics technology solution shipping today that allows users to combine the horsepower of two NVIDIA GeForce(TM)6 Series- based graphics cards (currently GeForce 6600 GT or higher) in a single PC. This cutting-edge platform produces a stunning increase in graphics performance, delivering drastically improved imaging at the highest resolutions for the latest graphics-intensive game titles.
