Dolch Announces Wireless Display and Full Metal IP 65 Computer at ISA 2002

New rugged solutions for harsh environments on display at ISA 2002

Fremont, California, October 17, 2002 - Dolch, the world leader in delivering rugged portable computer solutions, will display its latest fully sealed metal transportable computer called MilPAC(TM) at ISA 2002. Dolch now offers a wireless display interface for its computer products for use anywhere, any time under the toughest conditions. These new products will be on display at ISA Week at McCormick Place in Chicago October 21st to 24th at booth number 631.

MilPAC is a fully sealed, high performance portable computer designed to survive both military and industrial "lethal zones" - environments conventional rugged portables can't survive. A rugged full metal enclosure protects the MilPAC from the harsh effects of everyday indoor/outdoor mobile computing. The aluminum frame shields the internal parts from shocks up to 40g (non-operating) while dust-proof door shields are rated up to IP 65 protection from dust, wind and moisture exposure. This ultra-rugged portable computer sets new standards for affordable, harsh environment mobile computing.

The Dolch wireless display makes network monitoring, data acquisition and communication a lot easier. Communicating through a peer-to-peer wireless LAN 802.11b protocol, this new display fits in your hand, eliminating the need for heavy tablet PC's with limited computing power. And, it's easy to read, equipped with an 8.4-inch transflective, daylight-readable touch screen.

Dolch will preview other new technology and product innovations to the public on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3:30 pm in room S101B during the ISA Show at McCormick Place in Chicago!
