Dry is Best for Compressed Air
A new dryer for compressed air "point-of-use" is being introduced by TECO. The MVP-HD Air Dryer, as the new system is named, is designed for continuous operation. The systems are modular, scalable to fit any need and easily expanded for future capacity needs.
TECO'S new compressed air dryer is based on patented technology using a molecular sieve in a desiccant cartridge. Each cartridge alternates between a cycle of air-drying and regeneration (filter/desiccant cartridge back-flushing and self-cleaning). Desiccant life is indefinite and replacement is only necessary should it become contaminated. If it becomes necessary to change the proprietary desiccant, it is easily accomplished, as it is stored in a convenient spin on, removable cartridge. A typical system operates at a fraction of the electrical cost of a light bulb.
The MVP-HD air dryer system produces a rapid payback in terms of product quality by removing moisture at the "point-of-use." Water contamination is a major cause of quality defects on product finish paint lines and is a major cause of porosity rejects on plastics injection molding applications. Substantial
added savings are realized from operational efficiencies and outright damage prevention - water in compressed air does substantial damage to expensive pneumatic tools, pneumatic controls, cylinders, valves, regulators, etc.
