March 8, 2004 - Non-hygroscopic Power-Core roller, with integral roller bearing, runs quietly and absorbs vibration and shock without placing undue wear on rail. Snap-in design ensures snug bearing fit, and composite material features integral elasticity that provides structural resistance to developing flats under static loads. Roller retains dimension and tight bearing fit in all weather conditions. Roller to shaft attachments are machined directly into metal hub.

High-Performance, High-Load Roller is Specially Calculated to Feature Long Wear with Low Rolling Resistance

Closter, NJ: The unique Intech Power-Core roller with integral roller bearing has been designed to outperform steel rollers, to run more quietly and absorb vibration and shock without placing undue wear on the rail. Designed with low rolling resistance, the Intech Power-Core roller is suitable for high precision as well as high load applications. A convenient snap-in design ensures a snug, reliable bearing fit that eliminates the use of retaining rings.

The non-hygroscopic, quiet running, shock absorbing Intech Power-Core rollers retain their dimension and tight bearing fit in all weather conditions. An internal metal core is offered as an optional design. e.g. to dissipate heat generated in highly loaded riders. When replacing metal roller with bronze bushing the roller can run directly on the shaft, eliminating the need for bronze bushings. Roller to shaft attachments, including keyways and setscrews, are machined directly into the metal hub. Stainless steel hubs are available for use in sanitary or corrosive applications, while rollers with light weight Aluminum hubs are specified for high-speed, reciprocal motion.

The Intech Power-Core composite material features high integral elasticity which provides an inherent structural resistance to developing flats under static loads, creates low rolling resistance and provides new design options for rollers in high speed, stop-and-go applications, such as precision positioning devices.

Long life performance for Intech rollers can be calculated to determine static and dynamic loads, rotational speeds, and still times under load. Intech Corporation will provide application specific roller calculations to determine expected roller life in "ROLL OVERS" for a given load, and maximum load for a given roller diameter.
