Marantz Business Electronics Releases New AOI Component Library Software

Marantz Business Electronics announces the release of its newest component library software, offering dramatic improvement in set up time and product programming efficiency.

Featuring over 500 different pre-programmed component packages, Library Version 5.1 extends the flexibility and speed with which any machine model in the Marantz product line can be set up to inspect new product. Dedicated custom libraries can be generated while teaching from the master library, enabling the creation of new masters as well as board specific inspection libraries. Libraries can also be merged with one another, further expanding the set up flexibility and reducing the time to production. Use of a component library can improve the efficiency of program creation time by as much as 75%.

Component libraries have been an integral element of Marantz AOI programming since 2003, and they have been continuously updated to incorporate the latest in component package designs, system hardware and inspection strategies. The libraries are backwards compatible with older Marantz AOI systems, and training classes for the optimal use of library software are also available.

About Marantz Business Electronics
Well known for high quality Audio/Video products, Marantz developed its first AOI system in 1994. Developed to inspect PCB assemblies for correct component placement and soldering, the AOI system was designed for use in Marantz's own factories. Proving to be a highly successful, cost-effective alternative to traditional human inspection, Marantz developed its first generation commercial system in 1996. With a steadily growing installed base, Marantz Business Electronics has now sold over 3,500 units worldwide.
