Backplane complies with PICMG 2.16, and includes H.110 and IPMB buses. It accepts Pentium(R), Celeron(TM), or Pentium II/III single-board computers.

FABRIC READY CompactPCI CHASSIS OFFERS PORTABILITY
BROCKTON, MA -A new portable CompactPCI enclosure from CG Mupac is now available with a 2.16 packet switch Fabric compliant backplane, providing for greatly enhanced performance and flexibility. The Fabric 585 Series chassis is ideal for the development of datacom/telecom, industrial automation, and mobile test environments requiring next-generation data, voice, and video networking. The Fabric 585 Series features a total of eight vertical slots packaged in a 9U lightweight aluminum enclosure with a flush card cage. Slot 8, the rightmost slot, is double-wide and is reserved as the system (CPU) slot, while Slot 7 is reserved as a Fabric slot. This backplane also includes the H.110 and IPMB buses.
The Fabric 585 Series accepts all of CG Mupac's line of Pentium, Celeron, or Pentium II/III single-board computers. The 6U Fabric backplane complies with PICMG 2.16 and supports H.110, 5.0- or 3.3-volt keying and Hot Swap (PICMG 2.1). Provisions for one 5.25" x 1.63" device on a double-wide carrier card and two 3.5" x 1.0" devices (one accessible) on a single-wide carrier card are included. Transitional 80-mm I/O cards (1101.11 compliant) are optional.
A five-output, 320-Watt auto select 90-264 VAC ATX power supply is standard. The cooling subsystem consists of two 50-CFM DC ball-bearing fans and a 35-CFM power supply exhaust fan. A top-mounted handle makes transport easy, and rubber feet make the unit more stable in temporary locations.
Prices start at $1,495 with delivery quoted at 2-4 weeks ARO. A two-year limited warranty is standard.
