Available in 30 and 60 A models, NEMA 4X-rated ASR series has compact design with moveable mounting feet that allow for installation on irregular surfaces. Internal mounting tubes are also available for secure mounting in tight spots. Corrosion-resistant Valox® housing can be fitted with removable Class J fuses, and bottom-mounted, internal hinges are hidden to eliminate sanitation concerns. Interlocked switch prohibits plug removal under load and can be padlocked.

Appleton Announces its New NEMA-4X Compact Switched Receptacles for Adverse Locations
Appleton, a worldwide leader in premium industrial electrical equipment, proudly announces the new ASR series of NEMA-4X switched receptacles. The compact ASR series is suited for heavy-duty applications in adverse locations where a service outlet is required for portable or fixed electrical equipment, such as welders, generators or compressors.
The ASR series is the most compact and integrated design on the market, allowing it to be placed in areas that are too small for other receptacles, such as in the center of I-beams, and in areas where minimizing contaminants is crucial. Moveable mounting feet allow for easy installation on irregular surfaces. Internal mounting tubes are also available for secure mounting in the tightest spots.
This rugged receptacle was designed with a host of features for a new level of safety and convenience. The ASR's corrosion-resistant Valox® housing contains a spacious wiring compartment that offers plenty of work room. The housing can also be fitted with removable Class "J" fuses, which allow for installation and replacement of fuses away from the interior of the unit. The bottom-mounted, internal hinges are hidden to eliminate sanitation concerns and provide wide opening for easy wire access. The interlocked switch prohibits plug removal under load and can be padlocked. The ASR, the newest member of the Powertite® product family, is available in 30 and 60 amp models and is UL 1686 compliant.
