November 8, 2013 - While featuring compact, 1.9 mm dia design suited for such handheld, battery-operated tools as grinders, paint sprayers, hammer drills, and power drivers, Compact EC™ E8 delivers 1.42–2.07 lb-ft torque and 14,920–19,880 rpm speed at max efficiency (82%). Dust protection feature is standard, and motor accommodates 0.0–21.6 V input range while offering 250.00–488 W output power at max efficiency.

Hong Kong – Johnson Electric today announced a new brushless technology motor for hand held powered tools. The Compact EC™ E8 motor is a design platform that provides the highest power and efficiency for battery operated power tools. The high performance of the E8 motor provides the professional user with the torque and precision control to handle the toughest jobs. The high efficiency of the E8 motor enables more work to be done on a single battery charge.

The E8 motor, based on Compact EC technology, is suitable for professional handheld power tools including grinders, paint sprayers, hammer drills and power drivers. For most handheld power tools, the E8 motor has 60% more power with higher efficiency resulting in a 15% to 20% productivity improvement in comparison to existing brushless motor technology.
