Compact New 24 Volt DC Gearmotor Develops 410 in. lb. Torque at 15 RPM

"Low Speed, High Torque Unit provides benefits for battery powered Electric Vehicles, Robotics & Automation Applications"

Midwest Motion Products of Watertown, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the release of a new DC Gear Motor, the Model No. MMP-TM55-24V GP57-317. Accepting any 24 Volt DC source, including battery power, this robust Gear Motor measures just 2.24" in Diameter, by 7.75" long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long. (CUSTOM OUTPUT SHAFT DIMENSIONS ARE AVAILABLE) Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 "face mount" M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm Dia. B.C.

Gearhead Efficiency of 90% allows the output of this reversible gearmotor to generate 410 IN LBS continuous torque, at 15 RPM, and up to 1000 IN LBS Peak. Despite its compact size and weight of approximately 3 pounds, it's an ENERGY EFFICIENT design, requiring just 3.6 Amps at 24 Volts DC to generate its Full Load Torque. That translates into long life battery charge, very quiet operation, and reduced costs for drive electronics.

Motor windings for 12, 36, 48, 60 & 90 Volts are also available.

This unique design is rated at an "IP 54" protection level for operation in harsh environments. Variable Speed can be accomplished with our fully compatible Speed Controls, Model MMP 25A-24V, or MMP 20A-24V-RSP

Samples are available FROM STOCK (in limited Quantities) for rapid prototyping needs. An up to date listing of Finished Products available from Stock can be found at http://www.midwestmotion.com/inventory.pdf

Typical options available from the company include Servo Motors with integral Optical Encoders, Failsafe Brakes, Analog Tachometers, and Planetary Gearheads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 2653:1, and standard or low backlash precision gearing available. Motor Winding Options include 12V, 36V, 48V, 60V and 90 Volts DC.

The company offers a variety of standard ancillary equipment including DC power supplies, DC Servomotors, PWM Servo Amplifiers, Motor Speed Controls, Linear Actuators and a wide variety of DC gear-motors. Custom Motor Shaft and mounting configurations are also available.

Typical applications include Battery Operated Motors & E.V. drives, Medical, Mobility / Accessibility products, Robotics & Automation including (Military) Unmanned Guided Vehicles, Solar Tracking Equipment, Actuators, Packaging & Labeling Machines, Metalworking Machines, and many other applications requiring precise motion control.

DC Gearmotor with Encoder

Hi Hardy -
Thanks for your message.
The smallest Gearmotor we are able to provide, that is Encoder Compatible, is 2.1" in diameter. Would that work for your appliction?
If so, please email me back, and we will quote the smallest possible unit for you.
Regards,
Randy
