Moeller Electric's RMQ Titan Line Offers Easy Communication Interface
Houston, TX - May 6, 2008
Moeller Electric introduces bulkhead interface connections to enhance local monitoring and communication. Both USB (2.0) and RJ45 devices are available that mount directly to the panel in a 22mm notched hole, alongside standard pilot devices. A cover is included to protect the socket to an environmental rating of IP65.
Moeller's interface connections offer the user a safe and affordable method of communication:
o Unlike other communication interfaces that are either mounted inside the panel, or come in their own separate enclosure, Moeller's connections install directly on the panel, eliminating the need to mount additional enclosures, resulting in cost savings. The USB module has an 18" connection cable that attaches directly to a PLC or other USB device.
o Local monitoring often required the user to make a connection while the panel was opened and energized.
Moeller's bulkhead interface increases safety since the panel remains closed during connection. The new bulkhead interfaces are part of Moeller's extensive Titan pilot device line. The line features attractive appearance, simple mounting, customized laser inscription and the use of LEDs instead of incandescent bulbs (bulbs are available on some models). Particular attention was paid to achieving a consistent and uniform appearance throughout the range.
