Rooftop RD-Series ducting and support system is designed for multiple linesets used with variable refrigerant flow multi-split air-conditioning systems. Product has 20 ga roll-formed sheet metal lineset casing with anti-corrosive, scratch-resistant ZAM® coating. Including 90° and 45° ells, vertical ells, tees, crosses, wall flanges, end caps, reducers, and couplers, series is available in 7 models ranging from RD150, 5 7/8 x 4 3/8 in. models to RD900H, 35 3/8 x 9 7/8 in. versions.

Airtec Offers HVAC/R Industry's Only Commercial Rooftop VRF Lineset Duct
RD-Series is the most aesthetic, economic and long-lasting lineset ducting protection solution for multiple-zone rooftop VRF.
Airtec Products Corp., Fall River, Mass., a leading manufacturer and importer of HVAC/R products, introduces the RD-Series, the world's only commercial rooftop ducting and support system that's factory-made exclusively for the multiple linesets used with variable refrigerant flow (VRF) multi-split air-conditioning systems.
The RD-Series is the most practical, economic and long-lasting lineset protection solution for multiple-zone rooftop VRF systems, which are a mature industry in Asia and an emerging market in the North America. It saves more than 75-percent in labor when compared to the only other alternative of custom-fabricated galvanized sheet metal lineset ducts. Seven sizes are available ranging from the RD150 (5-7/8-inches (W) x 4-3/8-inches (H) size) to the RD900H (35-3/8-inches (W) x 9-7/8-inches (H) size), the latter which accommodates a maximum of 60 3/8-inch-diameter liquid and 5/8-inch-diameter hot gas insulated linesets.
The RD-Series comprises a 20-gauge, roll-formed sheet metal lineset casing with a proprietary, anti-corrosive, scratch-resistant ZAM® coating, a hot-dipped chromium-free, lighter weight superior alternative to galvanized steel. The ZAM treatment is a zinc, aluminum and magnesium tri-coating making it substantially more corrosion-resistant than galvanized sheet metal and offers a higher level of protection than zinc-aluminum alloy coatings when subject to spray-salt testing.
The RD-Series offers a full complement of fittings including 90 and 45-degree ells, vertical ells, tees, crosses, wall flanges, end caps, reducers and couplers to suit any configuration of linesets.
Other RD-Series features include:
o Certified more corrosion-resistant than galvanized steel according to third-party tests performed by the Building Center of Japan, and Japan's Civil Engineering Research Center.
o One year warranty.
o Free design services offered by Japanese-trained Airtec Products customer support.
o Where the duct and fitting surfaces will be used as walkways, a reinforced heavy gauge cover plate with a non-skid surface is available as an option on special order.
o Airtec will be stocking the RD300 (11-7/8-inch (W) x 5-1/8-inches (H) size); and the RD600 (23-5/8-inches (W) x 5-1/8-inches (H) size). Other sizes are available on special order.
