Quantum3D Announces Next Generation ExpeditionDI Combat Simulator Training Platform with Enhanced Graphics and Performance

ExpeditionDI Now Available as Warrior Kit, Squad Kit and New OEM Kit for Custom Simulation and Training Applications

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Defense GameTech Users' Conference, Booth #23 -- Quantum3D, Inc., a leading provider of visual computing solutions for government and commercial applications, today announced updates to its award-winning ExpeditionDI - the industry's first self-contained, wearable and fully-immersive close combat infantry simulator training platform. ExpeditionDI features several new enhancements, including an Intel quad-core processor and a NVIDIA GPU for realistic visual graphics and faster performance to deliver advanced 3D virtual training.

In addition, Quantum3D today announced it is adding an ExpeditionDI OEM solution to its line, available for partners looking to integrate ExpeditionDI capabilities into unique and custom warrior simulation and training applications. The OEM solution is now available along with the Warrior Kit, a single, fully functioning kit ready for training, and the Squad Kit, a system including multiple warrior kits for squad-based training needs.

"We are committed to continually improving ExpeditionDI to ensure it is the best-in-class virtual simulation training platform available," said Arthur Yan, president, Quantum3D. "The updates improve the level of visual, graphic and speed performance to help trainees interact in a simulated scenario with more ease, just as they would in a real-world combat situation. In addition, with the availability of ExpeditionDI OEM, we are opening up the system to partners that want to leverage the power of ExpeditionDI within their own custom training applications."

Quantum3D's newest ExpeditionDI adds support for an M320 grenade launcher, and integrates new wireless technology to support training for nearly a limitless number of soldiers in a single environment simultaneously, without any signal interference. Designed to meet the demands for any training scenario, ExpeditionDI features a quad battery pack for up to two hours of continuous simulation training without interruption, and a wide field-of-view head mount display (HMD) for a 60-degree horizontal Field-of-View perspective to more effectively immerse soldiers in a virtual training environment.

Quantum3D's ExpeditionDI will be on demonstration at Quantum3D's booth (#23) at the Defense GameTech Users' Conference 2012 from March 27-30. For more information on ExpeditionDI, visit Quantum3D's website.
