Color Laser Film Label protects against counterfeiting.
November 14, 2006 -
Suited for automotive and mechanical engineering industries, Color Laser Film label features transparent laminate that makes surface resistant to mechanical, chemical, and climatic influences. Security kiss-cuts ensure film self-destructs when attempt is made to remove it, and Inmold Decoration process allows film to be used with injection-molded components. Security measures include holograms, color shifting effects, and integration of company logo.

Schreiner Label Tech Announces New Color Laser Film Labels to Protect Against Counterfeiting
Label Ideal for Automotive and Mechanical Engineering Industries
SOUTHFIELD, MI - November 7, 2006 - Schreiner Label Tech today announced the availability of their Color Laser Film (CLF) label, which provides effective protection for original components by offering reliable proof of authenticity in a customized marking solution that also offers a host of process benefits. This is particularly helpful since counterfeiting of original components in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries is increasingly common.
A specially developed transparent laminate makes the surface resistant to mechanical, chemical and climatic influences. In addition, security kiss-cuts ensure that the film self-destructs in an attempt to remove it from the substrate, thus allowing immediate detection of product tampering incidents.
Schreiner Color Laser Film offers a range of individual security measures: holograms or color shifting effects, in which the color appears to change according to the viewing angle, raise the level of counterfeiting protection even further. The integration of a company logo into the identification label allows quicker detection of the difference between a copy and the original, and the complex make up of the CLF's multiple layers helps frustrate counterfeiting attempts as well.
Inmold Decoration - a special process developed by Schreiner ProTech - enables Color Laser Film to be inseparably combined with injection-molded plastic components. This makes CLF particularly beneficial for any application where reliable labeling processes combined with high readability, high resistance, proof of authenticity and long service life are essential.
Schreiner CLF excels at enabling superior marking speeds of up to 3000 mm/sec (9.8 feet/sec). Unlike conventional laser ablation films, the marking process produces zero emissions. This benefits both the environment and reduces maintenance requirements for the laser engraving equipment.
