BRIDGEWATER, N.J. Aug. 27 -- Brother International Corporation today introduced two new models to its "Professional Series" of color inkjet all-in-ones, adding breadth to the line-up that began with the introduction of the MFC-6490CW in July 2008.
The new MFC-5890CN and MFC-5490CN models provide robust printing, copying, scanning and faxing capabilities that businesses need every day. Both models represent the smarter choice for those seeking a color all-in-one machine at a great value.

The Brother "Professional Series" now consists of three strong models with key features:

-- MFC-5890CN ($199**): all the features of the MFC-5490CN, plus it prints up to ledger size (11-by-17-inch)
-- MFC-6490CW ($299**): all the features of the previous models plus wireless networking; prints, copies, scans and faxes up to ledger size (11-by-17-inch)
The MFC-5890CN expands the line-up initially introduced by the MFC-6490CW, which was the first and flagship model launched in the Brother "Professional Series." The MFC-5890CN's ability to produce up to 11-by-17-inch ledger size documents can significantly increase the visual impact of everyday documents. The larger size allows for more content on the page and helps increase readability. Impressively, this unit offers the ledger printing feature and still boasts a small footprint when compared to similar, more expensive products. It also comes standard with Ethernet networking, fast print speeds and a flip-up, 3.3-inch, color LCD display.
