FOR-A Introduces CEQ-100HS High Performance Automatic Color Equalizer at IBC2009
London, UK, August 4, 2009 -FOR-A, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, will introduce the CEQ-100HS color equalizer during IBC2009, which runs Sept. 11-15 at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam (Hall 2, Stand A51/B59). The CEQ-100HS eliminates the need for manual color correction with automatic color calibration and with image recognition technology.
The CEQ-100HS recognizes the colors of a color chart captured by a camera and precisely calibrates it to its internal standard color chart and color bar generator. These calibrations can be stored and recalled to speed studio setup, and an unlimited "undo" feature can fix an incorrect or unfavorable setting that has been saved.
Because the automatic color calibration feature of the CEQ-100HS can be used for color correcting multiple cameras or monitors in the studio simultaneously, it enables color matching for multiple studio cameras as well as color correction of a monitor included in the shot. This is also useful when color matching multiple monitors on large video walls. In addition, since the CEQ-100HS can perform independent color calibrations and corrections for two video inputs, it can be used for color matching between cameras on 3D stereoscopic video shoots.
The CEQ-100HS supports multiple HD formats, including 1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 720/59.94p, and 720/50p, as well as 525/60 and 625/50 SD formats. It includes HD-SDI and SD-SDI video inputs and outputs, and features an intuitive user interface. Color correction modes include balanced (RGB), differential (Y/Pb/Pr), and sepia.
The CEQ-100HS will be available by the end of the year.
