When overall tooling payload is of concern in larger robotic applications, Spring-Assist Collision Sensor (U-4622-SA) provides crash protection by mechanically detecting encountered obstruction, absorbing crash energy, and signaling robot to stop. Response time for this 8.00 in. dia x 4.14 in. high, 13.5 lb unit is 4-10 msec. It offers moment, torque, and force resistance of 3,500-7,630 lb-in., 3,290-8,520 lb-in., and 950-2,260 lbf, respectively.
