April 3, 2003 - STUBBY ER straight shank collet chucks are available in ten models from SPH-ER11-0500, which fits ER11 collet and has 1/2 in. shank dia and 3 ½ in. overall length, to SPH-ER32-1500, which fits ER32 collet and has 1 ½ in. shank dia and 6.20 in. overall length. Collet chucks are also offered to fit ER16, ER20, ER25, and ER32 collets with shank diameters of 5/8, ¾, 1, and 1 ¼ in. Products are suited for use on chuckers, screw machines, and CNC lathes.

Machinists Hungry for a ‘Stubby’; Line of Straight Shank Collet Chucks Makes Work a Bit Easier for Machinists
Henderson, NV (03/18/03) - Craftsman Industries, Inc., a Nevada-based manufacturer of precision machine tool accessories, has introduced a line of "STUBBY" ER straight shank collet chucks designed to expedite machine time. These innovative products are ideal for use on chuckers (manual or CNC), screw machines, and CNC lathes. "STUBBY" collet chucks are shorter in length than their collet chuck extension counterparts (shortest 'STUBBY" length is 3.5") and come in a variety of shank diameters and collet sizes, fit for machinists' needs.

The full line includes collet chucks that fit ER11, ER16, ER20, ER25, and ER32 collets and offers shank diameters of 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2".
