Shaft Collars and Couplings Remachineable by User to Create Custom Bores

A new line of remachineable shaft collars and couplings that let users create custom bore sizes and shapes in their own shop, to eliminate the need for ordering specials from the outside, is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Stafford Solution Series Remachineable Shaft Collars and Couplings are supplied fully assembled with screw(s) and include a shim and pilot hole to let users bore or thread any size and configuration they need. The collars are offered in one- and two-piece styles and the couplings in one-piece designs with one end finished for mounting and the other ready to rebore.

Available off-the-shelf, Stafford Solution Series Remachineable Shaft Collars come in 1-1/8" to 3" O.D. sizes, with the smallest part having a 1/4" pilot hole and 1/2" max. I.D. and the largest part having a 3/4" pilot hole and 2" max. I.D. The couplings let users mate incompatible shafts by boring and threading as required and bore sizes range from 1/4" to 2" I.D.

Stafford Solution Series Remachineable Shaft Collars and Couplings are priced from $ 2.40 up, depending upon size and are available from stock for immediate delivery. Literature and pricing are provided on request.
