Falcon Semi-Automatic Cold Saw, Model F315SX
The Model F315SX, Falcon semi-automatic cold saw is available from Wilton Machinery. Ideal for cutting low and high carbon steels, medium gauge tubes and profiles, this machine delivers precise, trouble free cutting on a regular basis.
Unlike other manual saws, it is no longer necessary to pull down on a handle to move the blade through the piece being cut. On the semi-automatic models, the head descends and retracts automatically by simply pressing one button. This reduces operator fatigue which results in faster cutting times, longer blade life, and greater accuracy in your cuts.
Exclusive to the model F315SX are the saw head placement system and gear box design. Using PLC technology, the operator sets the saw head at the height of the cut and presses a button on the control panel to memorize the location. The saw head will operate within these settings until reset. This advanced design allows the head to travel only the distance needed to complete the cut. This feature saves set-up and production time and lowers the cost per cut.
Another feature is the gear box design. This advanced gear box design utilizes hardened and ground gears combined with a worm screw mounted on a pair of bushings running in an oil bath. This results in less heat, higher efficiency, greater cutting power, and longer drive train life.
Wilton's Falcon semi-automatic cold saw has a totally enclosed blade guard which meets all safety guidelines. The safety electrical package includes thermal overload protection with magnetic starter, safety spring loaded 24 volt trigger switch, emergency stop button, and safety interlock on the electrical box which cuts off all power when the box is open. Its solid one piece steel weldment base stand provides a fast and easy set up. All of these features provide the operator with maximum safety and convenience.
