Cogeneration Unit is suited for multi-family housing.

March 8, 2005 - Powered by natural gas or propane, 15 kW VC-15 generator allows multi-family facilities to produce on-site power and hot water. Unit uses whisper-quiet, internal engine to spin generator. Water that cools engine is afterwards circulated through heat exchanger, producing pre-heated water that is fed into facility’s boiler or water heater. Unit can also function as backup generator during power outages.

VECTOR CoGen Announces Cogeneration Unit for Multi-Family Housing

VECTOR CoGen, LLC
2800 Arrowhead Drive
Carson City, NV, 89706, USA
Carson City, NV—VECTOR CoGen, Inc., today announced the introduction of its 15kW, VC-15 cogeneration unit for multi-family housing owners, managers and developers. VECTOR’s unit allows multi-family facilities to produce on-site power for 20%-50% less than the power company, typically resulting in a payback period of less than four years.

For example, a recent estimate prepared for a 93-unit, northern California apartment building showed that two VC-15s will reduce the building’s annual energy costs by $13,000, with a payback period of only three and a half years. At no additional cost, each VECTOR unit will also function as a backup generator, providing building tenants with continuous electricity and hot water even during power outages.

“We are pleased to announce this first-of-its-kind product to the multi-family housing industry”, stated VECTOR President, Richard Langson. ”Our product’s unique ability to produce inexpensive electricity, ‘free’ hot water and emergency backup makes it perfectly suited for multi-family operations.”

Powered by natural gas or propane, the VC-15 uses a whisper-quiet, internal engine to spin a high-efficiency generator. Water that cools the engine is then circulated through a heat exchanger, producing pre-heated water that is fed into the facility’s boiler or water heater.
