New P-Type Coaxial HPGe Photon Detectors with Enhanced Low-Energy Efficiency
OAK RIDGE, TN, -The ORTEC® Products Group of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology has announced the addition of the GEM-MX models to its successful PROFILE Series of P-type Coaxial HPGe detectors. GEM-MX models offer improved low-energy response in a coaxial detector of large crystal dimensions.
"With the addition of the MX models to the PROFILE GEM Series, it is now possible to choose the optimum detector for a specific sample type and geometry based on crystal dimensions and radiation entrance window thickness, in every case," notes Ben Kennedy, Product Manager for Research Detectors.
"The new GEM-MX models add extra flexibility to that choice," he adds. "The detector models have a useful energy range from below 10 keV to 3000 keV and beyond.
