Samtec's Cost Effective Cable System Provides High Speed Performance Now Available

Samtec’s line of coax cable systems includes a cost effective, micro discrete wire coax solution for high speed applications. The coax cable assembly (FCF8 Series) and board level connector (FCS8 Series) create a high performance system featuring a compact design and rugged features ideal for applications that require a space saving, economical solution for high speed transmission of data in micro-industrial, medical/military instrumentation, and many cable-to- board high speed signaling applications.

The FCF8/FCS8 system is available with a choice of 10, 20 or 30 total contacts on a 0,80 mm (.0315”) pitch, with the outside contacts grounded to the outer body shielding. The cable assembly features 38 AWG micro discrete wire coax cable, available in any length longer than 3.00" (76,2 mm) that can achieve high performance at a highly competitive price. A positive latching system, metal shielding for EMI protection, and standard weld tabs on the surface mount connector make this an ideal system for harsh environment and other rugged applications. Application specific cable lengths are also available.
