August 11, 2005 - System includes 2 custom-designed extruders, one 2 in. extruder with 30:1 L/D and one 1.5 in. extruder with 24:1 L/D. Flex-Lip Sheet Die has adjustable die range from 0–.125 in. Lip adjustment is manual, and die is equipped with restrictor bar. Co-extrusion block is designed with A-B configuration. Co-extrusion systems can be designed for any application, from lab to full-scale production.

Diamond America Introduces Co-Extrusion System
Akron, OH: Diamond America Corporation, a global builder of extruders, dies, screws and barrels has recently introduced a new sheet co-extrusion system for two layer applications.
The new system includes two custom-designed extruders. One is a 2” extruder with 30:1 L/D, while the second extruder is a 1.5”, 24:1. Both utilize Diamond America-designed screws, barrels and components.
The Flex-Lip Sheet Die, also designed by Diamond America, has an adjustable die range from 0 to .125”. The lip adjustment is manual and the die is equipped with a restrictor bar. The co-extrusion block was designed with an “A-B” configuration.
According to Thomas B. Allen, president of Diamond America, “We can provide co-extrusion systems for any application, from lab to full-scale production.” He added that, “The fact that we design and build the extruders, the screws and the dies assures that the system will function exactly as specified.”
