Smart Sonic to Showcase Closed-loop Stencil Cleaners

In 1990, Smart Sonic introduced the original ultrasonic stencil cleaner and the first stencil cleaner to be verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for specific parameters of environmental safety, user safety and cleaning efficiency. The CLF (Closed-loop Filtration) line of stencil cleaners are able to clean all types of solder paste without discharging any waste to drain. Two independent filtration systems recirculate the wash and rinse for reuse. The unique rinse filtration system includes DI water quality.

The CLF stencil cleaners may be used with all types of stencil cleaner chemistries. When used with Smart Sonic's 440-R SMT Detergent, the CLF system will be closed-loop and VOC free. Other stencil-cleaning chemistries commonly used for cleaning solder paste contain VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and local regulating agencies should be consulted before using VOC-containing products.
