DataLabs Announces Clinical Management Software that Allows Contract Research Organizations to Increase Revenue and Lower Costs

DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition Designed Specifically to Meet the Needs of the CRO Market

IRVINE, Calif., April 3 -- DataLabs, an innovative developer of Web-based software applications for clinical development, today announced the general availability of DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition, a highly configurable clinical data management system with a business model that allows CROs to increase revenue, lower costs and better manage the diverse needs of their own customers. CROs will benefit by realizing time and operational savings while increasing efficiencies in managing clinical trials.

"By adding DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition to our technology solutions, we are able to focus on providing CROs with solutions that are unique to their businesses," said Jim Langford, president of DataLabs. "Just Like DataLabs Clinical, this solution unifies the functionality of paper data entry (PDE) with the flexibility of electronic data capture (EDC), which is revolutionary for the industry."

Accelerating Clinical Trials

DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition incorporates key features to accelerate clinical trials including modules for study design, data capture and data management along with unique features that help CROs offer more robust interaction with their biopharmaceutical customers. Because it is browser based, it allows the functionality of a thick client with the flexibility of a Web-based solution. Other features include clinical trial status reporting functionality, event notifications and out of the box integrations to "best of breed" external applications.

Easy to Use and Integrate

Based on Microsoft technology, DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition is easy to operate and support. The software adjusts easily to current operating procedures and integrates seamlessly with existing applications and legacy systems. Built on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition follows open standards and maintains exposed APIs to create a platform on which other clinical development solutions can interact.

Pricing and Availability

DataLabs Clinical CRO Edition is available now directly from DataLabs and is sold under a perpetual license model or under an ASP model, which allows clients the greatest flexibility to match their business needs. Under the perpetual licensing model, the software can be installed in the clients' environment and with knowledge transfer; the client can conduct either traditional heads down double data entry or EDC with the same system, which will provide them the greatest ROI and lowest cost of ownership. The software and implementation costs are fractional to traditional data management systems and are based upon user levels. Pricing is based upon the clients' specific situation and needs. Please contact DataLabs for a proposal.
