October 22, 2002 - BIOACT® SC-10 Wipes clean better than IPA, yet have milder odor and reduced flammability. BIOACT SC-10 blends highly-refined aliphatic hydrocarbons, orange terpenes, and linear alcohols for stencil/misprint cleaning and de-fluxing. It is also effective in removing many rosin, water-soluble, and no-clean solder paste and flux residues, as well as acrylic and silicone conformal coatings. Wipes are lint-free, disposable, and packaged in re-sealable containers.

JNJ introduces new Chemistry, BIOACT® SC-10, in a Presaturated Wipe
Franklin, Massachusetts, USA – JNJ Industries’ popular pre-saturated cleaning wipes - SuperSaturated SmartWipes® - are now available moistened with BIOACT® SC-10* Electronics Cleaner. The BIOACT SC-10 wipes are an ideal replacement for Isopropanol (IPA), Axarel®, and other chemistries used in hand wipe cleaning applications where performance, safety, and/or VOC emissions need to be improved. This new solution cleans better than IPA, yet has a milder odor, reduced flammability, or VOC content of IPA. BIOACT® SC-10 is a blend of highly-refined aliphatic hydrocarbons, orange terpenes, and linear alcohols formulated to offer superior performance in stencil/misprint cleaning and de-fluxing applications. It was developed for removing all types of uncured SMD adhesives and solder paste from stencils and misprinted assemblies. It is also effective in removing many rosin, water-soluble, and no-clean solder paste and flux residues as well as acrylic and silicone conformal coatings, and tape residue.
JNJ’s SuperSaturated SmartWipes® are tough, lint-free, disposable wipes pre-saturated with a choice of solutions and packaged in handy re-sealable containers. They are designed to be used at the workbench or an SMT assembly line, particularly around screen printers, repair stations, and wave solder machines, or anyplace where solder paste, flux, and SMD adhesive residue is found. This product cleans stencils, boards, squeegees, surfaces, fixtures and tools without requiring the operator to leave the work area.
