August 26, 2002 - Self-contained Model MSM uses Methylene Chloride, an EPA-approved solvent, to clean and strip coatings, while recovering all solvent. Method eliminates flammable and explosive solvents, as well as hand scrubbing and scraping. Process, when used for stripping, removes resists used for masking during plating and etching. It also removes rubber, paints, resins, and other coatings, and cleans spray masks, fixtures, racks, and hooks.

Finishing Equipment, Inc. has Announced the Development of a New Cleaning and Stripping System for Resin Mixtures, Resists, Paints and Other Coatings


(St. Paul, MN) Finishing Equipment, Inc., manufacturer of solvent cleaning, equipment has developed a new cleaning and stripping process to replace hot and cold cleaning processes. This new, model MSM self contained exclusive system uses Methylene Chloride, an EPA approved solvent, to effectively and efficiently clean and strip many coatings in a cost saving, problem solving manner, while recovering all the solvent.

This new method provides improved working conditions, often eliminating hazardous wastes while offering large savings in solvent, labor and disposal costs. Flammable and explosive solvents are also eliminated, as well as hand scrubbing and scraping.

This new process, when used for stripping, removes resists used for masking during plating and etching. In addition, it removes many paints, cleans spray masks, fixtures, racks and hooks. The system also works well for cleaning pots, mixers, stirrers, molds and tools used for composite and FRP resin mixtures. Some rubber and other coatings can be removed as well.
