HARRISBURG, Pa. - June 18, 2007 - Tyco Electronics Corporation has introduced AMP connector clamps, plugs and stud bushings. This new line of connector clamps, plugs and bushings are constructed of fire-rated plastic material.
The AMP connector clamps are a one-piece construction designed for securing and installing non-metallic sheathed cable to steel boxes or panels. These connectors are quickly installed and they can accommodate either 1 or 2 wires. The holding clamp is rated for 60 lb pull-out and is available for ½" or ¾" knockout holes.
The AMP plugs are designed for plugging unused knockouts in boxes or panels. The holding prongs allow the plugs to fasten securely to any round open hole from ½" to 2".
The AMP stud bushings are available in either round or square dimensions to meet industry standard die-cut holes in metal studs. They provide relief for wire pulling and prevent chaffing of the wire insulation.
Each item is packaged for point-of-purchase merchandising in attractive, colorful packaging in bags or jars.AMP connectors, plugs and bushings are commercial construction applications and have recently been added to Tyco Electronics Energy Division's electrical distributor merchandising program.
