Suitable for demanding medical, robotic, or mil/aero designs, keyed circular connectors are available with mechanical latches, enabling them to withstand pulling forces of up to 2 lb in straight line. No special tools are required for mating and unmating and their design ensures no mis-mating. Lightweight units come with 3 barrel sizes configured with 5, 12, or 27 positions, and can be over-molded for added security and protection.

Minneapolis, USA, Oct 2007...Omnetics, the leading manufacturer of miniature high rel connectors, has announced that its range of circular connectors are now available heavily keyed and with mechanical latches, enabling them to withstand pulling forces of up to 2lbs in a straight line. No special tools are required for mating and unmating, and the design of the connectors further ensures no mis-mating.
Lightweight and small in diameter, these new connectors are available with three barrel sizes configured with 5, 12 or 27 positions. Devices support wire sizes up to 26 awg and can be over-molded for added security and protection.
