New High Performance Circular Cold Saw Delivers Superior Finishes, Often Eliminating Secondary Operations
Morgantown, PA (July 21, 2009) - Behringer Saws, Inc., has introduced a new high performance, semi-automatic miter circular cold saw for the fast and efficient cutting of both ferrous and non ferrous metals. The Behringer Eisele VMS 400H Circular Cold Saw is designed with a shock absorbing feature to provide smooth cutting of materials on single or multiple cuts.
The Behringer Eisele VMS 400H Circular Cold Saw features a saw head which traverses vertically on square guides. The upper portion of the saw is manually rotated for miter cuts, while the material is held in place on both sides of the saw blade by a quick-acting pneumatic clamping vise to ensure stability of the work piece and a smooth finish. This semi-automatic saw features a variable and hydro-pneumatically controlled saw blade feed allowing operators to control the speed of the cut into the material.
The highly versatile VMS 400H Circular Cold Saw has a miter angle range of 45° to the left and 60° to the right for a total range of 105°. The machine has fixed stops at 45° in both directions. The VMS 400H can cut solid rounds up to 5.7" at 45 degrees and 5.5" at 90 degrees, squares up to 4.7" x 4.7" at both 45° and 90° and rectangles up to 5.5" x 4.7" (45°) and 7.8" x 4.7" (90°). The saw can be set to cut at 64/128 or 128/ 256SFM and utilizes HSS blades 15.7" in diameter. With a heavy-duty gear box and a two-speed pole changing motor of 2.7 or 3.5 horsepower, the VMS 400H cuts efficiently through the toughest metals quickly and cleanly.
For operator safety, the VMS 400H comes with a vertically adjustable protective hood with Plexiglas windows for good visibility and to prevent material or fluid dispersal, yet allowing for easy access for quick blade changeovers.
