May 14, 2003 - Magnetic Chucks are offered in standard or fine pole construction, and feature brass-and-steel top plates for maximum coolant resistance. Round chucks provide work holding for materials starting at 0.1 in. thick and are used on lathes or grinding machines. Fully sealed rectangular chucks can be submerged in cutting fluids if required.

While IMI's rectangular Magnetic Chucks provide high performance work holding capabilities at affordable prices, IMI's round Magnetic Chucks are designed for working on lathes, but can also be adapted for use on grinding machines.

Available in standard or fine pole construction, all units feature brass-and-steel top plates for maximum coolant resistance and maximum work piece accuracy. Each permanent Chuck also features a dual ceramic magnet system for maximum hold and easy release as well as on-off handles that are fully removable.

Round Magnetic Chucks are designed for materials of a minimum 0.1" (2mm) thickness and are effective through the thickest work pieces. All rectangular Chucks are fully sealed and can be submerged in cutting fluids if required.
