One Resetter for All Epson Chipped Cartridges from Repeat-O-Type

Dateline - Wayne, NJ, January 8, 2003 - Nearly all current Epson brand inkjet cartridges include "smart chips" which prevent them from being easily recycled. Repeat-O-Type Manufacturing Corporation has announced its #R168 Multi-Model Chip Resetter that allows the cartridges to be conveniently refilled. The "smart chips" on the cartridges can be reset to read "full" without removing the chip from the cartridge by simply touching the contacts on the resetter with those on the cartridge for four seconds.
Fred Keen, Repeat-O-Type's Director of Sales and Marketing, says the new resetter replaces six different resetters previously required to address the various Epson printer models. The resetter works with most, but not all, aftermarket chipped cartridges as well.
The new #R168 resetter contains alignment notches that mate perfectly with each Epson cartridge type. A flashing light confirms each successful reset. It is capable of performing unlimited of resets because replacements for the included batteries can be found at any local electrical store. The resetters are suitable for use by rechargers, refill kit sellers and end users wishing to reduce printing costs.
