Plastolon(TM) Line of PTFE Fibers Designed for Performance Under Demanding Operation Conditions

NEWTOWN, PA (9/8) -- Plastomer Technologies, a specialist in PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) products, has launched its full line of PLASTOLON(TM) brand fibers. The physical properties of these fibers provide thermal resistance up to 550°F, excellent chemical inertness, resistance to intense ultraviolet exposure, and a low co-efficient of friction.

PLASTOLON(TM) Fibers available in a flat format can also be twisted -- in single or multiple strands -- to provide threads measuring from 600 denier and higher at this time. "The wide range of potential PTFE Fiber formats offers advantages for use in a variety of industrial applications, including marine, awning, bearing, and filtration," notes John McDermott, Product Manager, Fibers. "Though we offer standard fiber products, it is our ability to solve customer problems through custom solutions that differentiates PLASTOLON(TM) from other fiber products."

In particulate filtration applications, dust collector bags made with PLASTOLON(TM) Filtration Fibers can withstand extreme operating temperatures and taxing chemical environments, such as chemical production or coal-fired boiler applications.

PLASTOLON(TM) fiber products will be featured at the Plastomer Technologies booth (#1410) during the IFAI Expo 2003.
