Available in case with dimensions of 4.3 x 3.2 x 1 in., 150 W HCM Series have input voltage range from 9-36 Vdc and 18-75 Vdc, and output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24 Vdc. RoHS compliant units in case have operating temperature range between -40°C to +100°C, MTBF of over 1M hr, and weigh 11.4 oz. Electrical features include volt-seconds clamp, over voltage protection, pulse by pulse current limiting, auto-softstart, dead short shut-down, and remote sensing.

150 Watt Chassis Mount DC/DC Converter
Calex Manufacturing Company Inc. announces the HCM Series of high power density chassis mount DC/DC Converters. These 150 Watt rugged, encapsulated DC/DC converters are ideal for harsh industrial and COTS military applications. All 10 models in the series offer a wide 4:1 input range, from 9 to 36VDC and 18 to 75VDC, make the units ideal for 24 Volt industrial, 12 and 24 Volt battery applications and 48V power sources. The output voltages available are 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24 Volts DC. All models are isolated input to output. The MTBF for all models is over 1M hours and all models are backed by Calex's Five Year Warranty.
The versatile enclosure of the HCM Series provides a "clamp" style recessed barrier strip which secures wire without twisting. The enclosure can be mounted with the barrier strip facing up or down depending on what is preferred for the application. An optional DIN Rail adapter is available for DIN Rail mounting the HCM. The excellent thermal characteristics of the enclosure provide a very favorable 3C per watt dissipated thermal impedance. The enclosure also has through holes for securing a heatsink if needed for extended temperature applications. The case operating temperature range for the HCM is -40C to +100C. The case dimensions are 4.3" x 3.2" x 1.0"H. The HCM weight is 11.4 ounces. The HCM Series is RoHS Compliant.
In addition to the mechanical advantages of the HCM enclosure, the units offer a number of electrical features often not found in chassis mount units:
