75 Watt Chassis Mount DC/DC Converter

Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord, California announces the availability of the QCM Chassis Mount Series of DC DC converters. The QCM offers up to 75 Watts of output power in a rugged, encapsulated 2.65" x 4.2" x 1.0"H package. The recessed barrier strips on the QCM allow all connections to be made in tight quarters while protecting the barrier strip from physical damage. The design of the QCM allows the unit to be mounted in a variety of orientations plus the addition of a heatsink for extended temperature applications. The QCM is ideal for ruggedized mobile applications as well as backplane or NEMA enclosure mounted process control applications.

The QCM Series offers two input ranges, 18-36VDC and 36-75VDC. Output voltage options are 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC. Output power is 75 Watts. Mindful of battery powered applications, all models offer ON/OFF. The idle current in the OFF state is only 6mA. Each model also offers output voltage trim to compensate for voltage drops over long leads. All units provide over-voltage protection, pulse by pulse current limiting, over-temperature protection as well as dead short current limiting. The QCM Series is backed by Calex's Five Year Warranty.

All models are isolated input to output. The switching frequency of the QCM Series is 360kHz. Input ripple rejection is 60dB. Each model features undervoltage lockout and input reverse voltage protection. Reflected ripple is 10mA peak to peak. Load regulation is 0.02% typical. Line regulation is 0.01% typical. The case operating temperature range of the QCM Series is -40 to +100C. The thermal impedance of the QCM case is 3.7º C/W.

All QCM models are available from stock to four weeks. Contact the factory for pricing.
