September 2, 2005 - Voltage and capacitance extensions in surface-mount commercial X5R MLCCs (Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitors) are available with X5R dielectric as well as K (±10%) and M (±20%) tolerances. RoHS-compliant devices offer capacitance ranges from 1.2-22 µF in 0603, 0805, and 1206 EIA case sizes with 10 V ratings. Components provide circuit functions such as decoupling and output filtering to computer, power supply, and automotive markets.

KEMET Expands Ceramic X5R MLCC Portfolio With 10-Volt Capacitance Extensions


GREENVILLE, S.C., Aug. 2 -- KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) today announced the addition of several voltage and capacitance extensions to its commercial X5R ceramic surface mount portfolio. New releases offer capacitance ranges from 1.2 microfarads to 22 microfarads in 0603, 0805 and 1206 EIA case sizes with 10V ratings. Components provide circuit functions such as decoupling and output filtering to the computer, power supply and automotive market segments.

Newest capacitance values are available in X5R dielectric and in K (+/-10%) and M (+/-20%) tolerances. All parts are environmentally friendly, in compliance with RoHS legislation.
