Products offer tolerances to ±.0001 in. as well as flatness and parallelism within ±.0001 in. per 12 in., depending upon part material and configuration. Insulators can be precision machined from Mycalex®, Mykroy®, Arclex®, Grade A LAVA, Boron, Nitride, Macor®, and ceramic filled materials.

Machinable ceramic components for high voltage and high temperature applications such as electrical- and thermal insulators or fixtures are available from MICA-TRON Products Corp. of Braintree, Massachusetts.

Providing better dimensional stability than engineering plastics, machinable ceramics are effective for manufacturing components and for prototyping in advance of technical ceramics.
